Barbara Riña, or "Ms. Bambi" as she is known by her team, is a wedding planner who has been in the industry since 2012. She runs the coordination company Eventzified, which specializes in the complete coordination of weddings and other events.

She has now been in the wedding industry for 10 years and is one of the most respected wedding planners in the country. Throughout her career, she has organized hundreds of weddings and events and helped countless couples create their perfect day.

A New Beginning

Ms. Bambi was born to do this work, and when she realized she had a passion for it, she decided to become a wedding planner. It's not a job for everyone - not everyone figures out what they are good at or what they have a passion for. But God had blessed Ms. Bambi with both of those qualities!

She started out as a wedding coordinator's assistant at a company that organized weddings for high-profile clients. At first, she did not even realize how talented she was at this job - she just loved helping people get married! But then she started receiving praise from clients and colleagues alike: "Ms. Bambi, you are so good at organizing weddings!" And that's when she realized: this is what I am supposed to do!

She was so pleased with how much her skills were appreciated that she decided to become a wedding planner and run her own coordination company. Today, Eventzified consists of 14 professional and trusted coordinators who are critical to the success of every event they organize.

Dreams come true

When it comes to weddings, there is only one thing that really matters: the couple. Ms. Bambi, a full-time wedding planner, knows this better than anyone. She has successfully planned a wedding for a couple with 500 guests and has worked on many destination weddings, which are her favorite because of the travel involved.

"As a full-time wedding planner, I have the opportunity to travel while playing an important role in one of my clients' most memorable moments. Whether we are planning a destination wedding or working with local vendors in the couple's hometown, it is always a pleasure!

And there's no better feeling than seeing the look on a couple's face when they realize their dream is coming true right before their eyes. It's a whole other thing to do something new and exciting for a couple."

Ms. Bambi has been running her own business for more than a decade, but she is quick to point out that she could not have done it without the help of her family and friends.

The self-made entrepreneur said that her partner Carmela Berces and nephew Ruiz Jerome Absulio are a godsend! "They help me with our events," she shared..

Ms. Bambi has always wanted to be in the service industry and is grateful to be able to pursue her passion. "I know how hard it is to make a living as an artist, but I do what I love so I can make other people happy through my work," she said.

Celebrate victories

The road to success is paved with "habal-habal" rides, and Ms. Bambi is so grateful for the chance to share her journey.

"I cannot say I had it easy, but from the moment I became a full-time wedding planner, I knew hard work would be rewarded. And it has been!

In 2019, I had a client whose wedding was going to be in the afternoon. We were on our way to the venue when suddenly - you guessed it - a 10-wheeler truck went off the road, closing all lanes. My team was stuck in a traffic jam. Then we had an idea: Why not just ride "Habal-Habal"? That would get us to our destination faster than any other mode of transportation we could think of! Because of this great experience, the couple submitted a review to the W@Wies Facebook community for weddings, which helped put Eventzified on their list of recommended wedding planners. From there, Eventzified rose to become one of the most trusted wedding planners."

Ms. Bambi has also had some unforgettable experiences. Her secret to success? Prayer. "Prayer is my calming medicine," she says. "If it's a garden wedding, I pray for good weather and that works 100% of the time. When there are uncontrollable situations, my secret is to always be prepared for anything."

In the beginning, she had no idea that she would one day start her own business, but she knew immediately that this was what she wanted to do with her life. It took years of hard work and dedication for her to realize her dream of running an event planning business, but it was worth it because now she can help other couples make their big day perfect!

Ms. Bambi has been in the wedding business for a decade and knows how to handle any situation that comes her way - and she is always ready to do what comes next!
