CHRISTOPHER & GLADYS

ANSWERED PRAYER

By:Mylene Campos

Have you ever experienced that feeling of finding someone you admire, and immediately seeing your future with that person in it? It's been possible for many people, and for this special couple, they both knew that they would end up marrying each other someday. Now, more than two decades later, they've renewed their vows with their children and loved ones beside them.

AN ANSWERED PRAYER | The bride, Glady’s shared that she and her husband knew that they would be partners for life. “It was too good to be true. But even before, when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend, I already knew that we would end up marrying each other. I prayed for it. That's why I call him my answered prayer.”

The bride and groom wed in 2004. But they renewed their vows on their 25th year of being together as a couple. Christopher and Glady’s always knew that they would stay married for the years to come. And as the bride shared, everything worked out because they both have the same faith, and they believed in the sanctity of marriage.

LESSONS LEARNED | One of the things that the couple learned through their years of being married is to extend their patience with one another and to find the need to value each other’s individuality. Glady’s pointed this out not just for them to feel burned out, but to also help maintain the ‘fire’ in the relationship. “We seldom spent time with each other in the past because of our work, and we would rarely go out on a date with just the two of us because we were always with the kids. But we eventually learned to find time for each other and started traveling out-of-town or out-of-the-country with just me and him.” Their travels together were definitely the happiest for them.

Now, marriage will always come with its challenges, but the couple made sure to face all of their trials by staying married no matter what. Glady’s is happy that after all these years, Christopher still knows how to make her feel sexy and feel good about herself. And you know what they say, “happy wife, happy life.”

WEDDING PREPARATIONS | The bride, with the blessing of her groom, had the freedom to decide what their wedding motif would be. “He just let me decide on the details, theme, etc. The color motif was burgundy because it looked sophisticated and not too predictable.” She was also very hands-on with the preparations. “I wanted to know everything, even up to the smallest detail. I didn’t get a wedding planner on our first wedding in 2004, but only an organizer on-the-day itself. It was not perfect. But it was a success as a whole,” she shared.

While scheduling was also a bit of a challenge during their wedding planning, the couple is very grateful for having a dedicated team that helped walk them effortlessly all the way to the aisle.

THE ENTOURAGE | The couple chose only a select few for their wedding entourage. And this special group included some family members, their best friends, and a few respectable people from their industry.

WORDS OF ADVICE | If there’s one thing that soon-to-be-wed couples should know, it’s to plan ahead. The bride shared, “a one-year preparation is quite ideal. This will give you enough time to work on your budget, to choose suppliers, and to also lose weight, especially if you desire to look your best on your wedding day.”

A MESSAGE TO SUPPLIERS | “We'll never forget all of your hard work. Everything that you have done for us made our wedding day absolutely exceptional.”
