Renewal of Love in the Time of Covid: Marcelo and Charlotte’s Married Journey Through the Years

After more than 25 years of love, commitment, and countless shared memories, Marcelo and Charlotte have decided to embark on a beautiful journey once again, renewing their vows in a celebration of their enduring bond. The joyous occasion marked a milestone in their lives, a testament to the strength of their relationship and the unwavering love they have nurtured over the years. A Marriage Certificate Requirement

In 1996, Marcelo and Charlotte were much younger and less experienced than they are now, so marriage wasn't a priority for them. The couple ultimately took the plunge into wedded life when they learned that the school their firstborn son was about to go to require a marriage certificate.

Marcelo and Charlotte said "I do” with all their hearts despite the strange circumstances surrounding their wedding. "I don't fully understand what married life was all about that time because we're still young," Charlotte says of their early marriage.

Growing Wiser, Happier and Reaching Milestones Together

Like any normal married couple, Marcelo and Charlotte encounter bumps and obstacles throughout their life together. These challenges, however, pale in comparison with the happiness and milestones they achieved and reached together.

Other than the days when they welcomed their children, one of the couple's memorable moments together was when they moved into the dream house they built together.

Marriage Secrets Made Always Fresh from the Kitchen

Asked what their secret in keeping their romance to remain burning after all these years, scorching enough to warrant an exchange of vows, Charlotte replies that a lot of it begins in the kitchen. "I am really glad that I married someone who is as caring as him and he knows how to cook good food for everyone."

Proving indeed that the quickest path to a person's heart is through their stomach, Marcelo made sure he enters inside Charlotte's heart for eternity and vice versa. Another important ingredient to a lasting marriage according to the couple are patience and respect.

Renewing Vows in the time of the Pandemic

Inspired by the harmony of colors, they decided to embrace a white and dusty blue motif, a choice that had also been joyfully voted for by their beloved family members. With a touch of elegance and serenity, the couple envisioned a celebration adorned with soft floral arrangements, a symbol of their enduring love. Their daughter, brimming with excitement and creativity, eagerly lent a helping hand in curating the perfect wedding details. Together, they harmoniously merged their visions, ensuring that their special day would be a beautiful reflection of their love and shared happiness.

Marcelo and Charlotte found themselves facing an unexpected challenge as they embarked on planning their second wedding amidst a global pandemic. With restrictions on social gatherings and events still in place, their initial vision of a grand celebration seemed uncertain. However, rather than allowing the circumstances to dampen their spirits, they embraced the opportunity to create an intimate and meaningful affair. They navigated through the uncertainty with resilience and creativity, exploring alternative options such as outdoor venues, and guest lists limited to close family and friends. With each obstacle they encountered, Marcelo and Charlotte grew closer, drawing strength from their love and commitment to one another. Their renewal of vows ceremony became a testament to their unwavering determination and the belief that love transcends any challenge that comes their way.

The big day, or should we say the second big day, went off without a hitch because the wedding party included the couple's daughters and their son's girlfriends, making for a charming and close-knit family celebration.

A Second Chance at the Walk Down the Aisle

For Charlotte, the most memorable part of their renewal of wedding vows was her walk down the aisle. Compared to their first wedding which was hastily planned and simple, the blooming bride was able to savor the experience this second time around.

Asked what they can advise to couples planning their wedding, the newly-wed couple  (the second time around) simply advices to choose a dependable wedding organizer and make sure everything fits within the allotted budget range.
