TIARA’S RED CARPET CELEBRATION

Here’s an event that’s fit for a princess! From dancing to seven famous musical scores to sending wishes based on seven of the best movie quotes, Tiara Jerisse’s 7th birthday was a day worth remembering and more.
THE PLANNING STAGE | Tiara, the firstborn of the Medina’s, was thrown a regal Met Gala/red carpet-inspired celebration for her 7th birthday. And the brain behind this lavish event was none other than the little girl’s mother, Clarisse. The mom of two shared, “I already knew what I wanted to create for my daughter's party. Starting from the Pink Safari theme that we pulled off on her 1st birthday, all the way to her Hollywood theme on her 7th celebration. I love the idea of throwing fancy parties, and we love entertaining people as well. That’s why I prepared and saved early for Tiara's special occasion.”
A uniquely designed program was created, which consisted of 4 sets of 7’s. They prepared seven musical scores (an alternative to 7 roses) where Tiara danced to particular movie soundtracks. There was also a paparazzi segment where her closest friends were asked to pick a paper from a bowl and to strike a pose to the photographer. Seven awards also took place (an alternative to 7 gifts), which was a way to showcase the celebrant’s most requested presents. And the last portion was about seven movie quotes, where a movie line was delivered and related as a wish to the birthday girl.
Now, to show their daughter how important the event was, the family checked into a hotel that was near the venue. “I wanted to make the day feel grand by planning things ahead of time. Before the party, the celebrant started practicing the Cotillion de Honor with her cousins and special friends, which they regularly did, even after-school days. Tiara also prepared a solo dance with the Hyper Dynamics Dance Troupe in Bulacan." Clarisse added, "my daughter's favorite artist is Katy Perry. With that in mind, we conceptualized a dance mixdown of Katy's hit songs." Her daughter, who's also a part of the Voices Malolos, arranged a special number in collaboration with Tiara's father's band. The songs ‘Kapag Tumibok ang Puso’ and ‘I Can’ by Janella Salvador was sung that night.
The 7-year olds favorite moments included her grand entrance, the dance portion with her friends, the costume awarding, the games, and the magic show. Her parents even hired the same magician (a personal choice of both parents given the illusionist's unique and witty character) who performed during Tiara’s first birthday.
A very hands-on parent, Clarisse never gets tired when it comes to conceptualizing ideas for her kid’s parties, especially when it comes to creating themes for every year that they’re born. She supervised the preparations, chose and met up with suppliers, and handled all of the details to ensure that everything worked smoothly. She shared, “my husband and I were very particular, as we guided and organized our own daughter’s party. I even directed the program flow."
The Medina's were beyond pleased with how Tiara's grand celebration turned out. “As the celebrant’s mom, I felt proud and fulfilled by the entire experience. I'm glad Tiara's 700 guests (friends and family) all stayed until the program ended.We saw how happy they all were,” Clarisse shared.
Every bits and piece for the party was carefully and lovingly thought out, including the event styling, which was detailed and thorough. This was evident in the way Tiara's gown selections were lined up, how the stage was designed, how the tables were arranged, how the themed cake was made, and how her customized bear bouquet looked.
Tiara's guests also didn’t have to travel to Southern California to experience the glitz and glamour of the Met Gala because her party already brought the red carpet to them. "Those who attended the event felt like they were superstars. We were awestricken by the elegant Hollywood styling of the venue, especially when it highlighted our daughter's grand entrance. Plus, it was the perfect setting for a glam photo-op. Our guests enjoyed striking poses on the camera, as they showed off their dazzling outfits,” Clarisse described.
The party happily ended with a flash mob. “I guess everyone enjoyed because almost 100 kids came up to the stage and danced to their favorite hits,” Clarisse shared.
A WALK TO REMEMBER | Tiara’s mom got teary-eyed as her daughter made her way into the venue. “I felt like crying when she did her grand entrance. I also felt the same when she and her father danced during the 7 Musical Scores. I found myself sobbing because I couldn't imagine how grown up she already was. Everything that I've asked her to do, she obeys, and never rebels. I hope my little diva can look back on this time, and know how much of a special blessing she is to us," shared Clarisse.
#BLESSED | The birthday celebrant wished for nothing but more happy moments with her family, as well as a healthy mind and body. She couldn’t wish for anything more because her spectacular Hollywood-themed party was enough. She extends her gratitude to everyone who made the celebration into an unforgettable event. “I love you all," Tiara said. "As I grow up, I wish that you will all continue to be a part of my memories. Thank you for making my party an award-winning event!”
